Come out to support Growlery artist Anna Landa's sound installation The Fear at Savernack Street Gallery at the opening reception on April 2nd. The installation will be on display until May 8th.

The Fear is a sound project set in motion in 2012 that consists of a countdown synced to a looped track of the artist's recorded heartbeat. The work was inspired by a scientific study that found all mammals to have approximately 1.5 billion heartbeats in the span of a lifetime. The countdown is accessible online for the approximately forty-two years that it will run before the screen goes blank, as well as in the site-specific installations created within this time period. Anna's hope is to inspire reflection on time and mortality.
